When you settle in Vermont and have children, don’t think that they will be accepted as Vermonters.
After all, if the cat had kittens in the oven, you wouldn’t call ‘em biscuits.

On Jan 1st Vermont’s minimum wage increases by 5% One wonders what this does for the employment numbers.
As the Free Press says, “That means the lowest paid Vermonters will see their pay go from $7.68 an hour to $8.06.”
In order to afford this, grocers and convenience store owners are hiking prices by 10% [...]

In Vermont, the pure essence of “One Man, One Vote” reached fruition in the Democrat primary; it will again in the general election. I don’t believe the occurrence on Sept 9th expressed the desire of SCOTUS, but it certainly fulfills the goals of the defunct USSR and Socialist Vermont.
This is becoming increasingly frequent in local [...]

Vermont candidate to prosecute Bush if she wins
Lots of political candidates make campaign promises. But not like Charlotte Dennett’s. [snip]
Nope, she’s busy making Vermont’s election process a laugh link on Drudge’s site. Well to help her along here’s her campaign hat and a bumper sticker for her car, free of charge.

“It’s extremely disappointing that a [...]

The WVMT 6 to 10 Morning Drive show will get you arrested for driving while impaired. Four hours of straight snooze button interrupted by moonbat political tripe and Ernie’s very peculiar economic theories. Some of these are the proximate, precipitate root of the current fiscal meltdown.
Today, the show reached the nadir of inquiry with Polina [...]

The IRS running amok
The IRS has acknowledged that Jamey and Lora Costner of Newport are victims of identity theft and Congress has called on them to testify. Nevertheless, this young couple are being harassed yet again by the IRS for back taxes on income [...]

Lewis Carrol 1832-1898
Running for office in Vermont requires an ability to change your position as the trees change color. Heaven forefend one is caught flatfooted in the usual obtuse position without a fallback to a dull-witted, but more obscure redoubt.
Socialist economics is a Ponzi [...]

A letter written to the Rutland Herald
“As an American, I am horrified at John McCain’s obvious lack of knowledge of the truly great issues currently facing not only this country but its role in the world. As an American woman, I am insulted that Mr. McCain would think that a former beauty queen/soccer mom/small town [...]

Not even the ides of September and Candidate Symington takes a huge lead in the race for Moonbat of the month.
The Moonbat Madam calls for $3.5 million over the first five years, 66% to come out of private donors (your pockets) and the other 34% from the state. Plus she stated no new revenues would [...]

Obama Fundraiser
We had a simply scrumptious afternoon of cheese and wine with stone wheat crackers. A domestic cheese but Vermont Cheddar so that was acceptable, you know. I mean one simply has to buy locally. A Vermont wine, of a delightful Wednesday vintage, rivaling anything imported from New Jersey, complemented the crackers and the cheddar [...]
