Perhaps the Legislature can enlighten us mere mortals how this railroad called the State of Vermont is gong to get where it is heading.

The price of the fares to be collected appears to exceed the number of riders and their fervor for the trip.
The condition of Vermont’s fiscal roadbed suggests a short ride ending well before attaining a credible balanced terminus. Or is the Legislature running the state like the defunct Champlain Flyer, which was about getting Federal money (OPM) rather than providing an actual service.
Vermont isn’t the Good ‘n Plenty Express and Shumlin doesn’t remind me of Choo-Choo Charlie. The Toonerville Trolley is much more apropos.
