Collectivist Banking

One has to wonder how long the American wage earner/taxpayer is going to put up with a group of PRIVATE individuals deciding our national economy.

Whatever you might save isn’t rewarded with more than notional interest. Yet the mechanization of the constantly changing ‘Market basket’ items that show NO inflation. Meanwhile the real cost of living is near a 19% inflationary rate. Now do you understand why you can’t seem to gain ground toward retirement.

End the Fed…from Rico

Try getting a breakfast in NYC for 10-cents, go ahead, I dare you!

– The last time I had breakfast at the Tavern on the green there it was a LOT more than 10-cents, I assure you.

Why is that?

– It’s called INFLATION, and it’s what the Fed really’does’…

Don’t forget to ‘thank’ them for doing such a swell job!

All the EU economies are taking it on the nose. Any(which is most) country that went off the gold standard, on to a fiat currency is now suffering the same as the US.

The Governments spend more than they take in each month. To compensate, the US Treasury issues more bonds, T-bills and of course prints more money. What the value of that dollar is, the moment they print another dollar, the value drops by 50%. Keep doing this and soon one looks like California or Venezuela. At some point, Wiemar Germany becomes an eternal Oktoberfest.

The Eastern Europeans know to have a cache of negotiable metal. Paper currency is something you either don’t have enough or you have too much; there’s no right amount.

Illegal Immigration

New Jersey has for many a year been the but of a joke about being a landfill. Mob influence also is known to have a strong say in politics. Now the newly elected Governor of that septic tank proves the validity of all those rumors.

CE Just Told NJ’s AG To Shove It: You Want To Restrict Cooperation…We’ll Just Increase Our Immigration Raids

New Jersey is following California’s lead by adopting new sanctuary state-like rules regarding how its local law enforcement agencies will cooperate with Immigration and Customs Enforcement. It’s part of blue state America’s ongoing war on the Trump administration, flipping them off whenever they can, especially when it comes to immigration (via NJ 101.5):

More than a year after New Jersey voters elected a governor who campaigned on a platform of protecting the state’s immigrant residents, including those in the country illegally, the state’s top prosecutor released a list of rules governing cooperation by state and local police with federal immigration authorities.

The new rules prevent cops from quizzing people about their immigration status unless relevant to an investigation and limits cooperation by jails with Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

“We are issuing new rules that draw a bright line between federal civil immigration authorities on the one hand and state and local law enforcement officers on the other,” Attorney General Gurbir Grewal said. “And we’re telling our friends and our neighbors who have been living in fear: You can trust state law enforcement. You can trust state prosecutors here in New Jersey.”

“Nothing in this directive provides sanctuary to those who commit crimes in New Jersey. If you break the law in New Jersey, if you assault someone, if you rob someone, if you defraud someone, we will hold you accountable no matter your immigration status. If you break the law in New Jersey, we will go after you, no matter your immigration status. No one gets a free pass.”

This isn’t the only time that ICE and New Jersey have fought one another. This month an illegal alien in Middlesex was released after the jail refused to honor an ICE detainer. The illegal is now a murder suspect(via The Patch): [snip]

Increased raids works for me. Panic the illegals badly enough and they’ll leave the state for places where they can tax the populace more heavily. California comes to mind. Among the mud slides, fires and illegals, that state ranks up there as a cloaca for the nation.

Al Gore and his myrmidons are going to hold a year long blather fest on the dangers of Climate Change.

Don’t Netflix And Drive: Motorist Crashes On I-94

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The State Patrol is reminding people not to Netflix and drive after a woman crashed her vehicle while watching the streaming service on her iPad.

Police say numerous calls came in Oct. 26 to report a person crossing over lanes, driving onto the shoulder and driving in and out of the grass on the shoulder on Interstate 94. As troopers approached, the woman ran off the road and crashed into median cables.

The woman admitted she had been watching Netflix on the iPad that was positioned on the passenger seat.

What do you think her chances are of learning to breathe and walk simultaneously?

PC once again rears its idiot self on NPR. To be expected there, they cannot speak with out worrying that they’re violating PC strictures.

NPR fires critic David Edelstein after ‘Last Tango’ joke

NPR’s “Fresh Air” has parted ways with contributor David Edelstein after the film critic made a joke about the rape scene in “Last Tango in Paris” on his Facebook page following Monday’s death of director Bernardo Bertolucci.

In a statement Tuesday, “Fresh Air” said the post was “offensive and unacceptable” because of what actress Maria Schneider experienced filming the scene. Schneider said in a 2007 interview that the simulated sex scene was unscripted and that she felt bullied by Bertolucci and unsupported by her co-star Marlon Brando. “I was crying real tears,” said Schneider, who died in 2011.

Edelstein had captioned a photo of the scene with the line: “Even grief is better with butter.” After a backlash, which included actress Martha Plimpton calling for Edelstein’s firing, Edelstein said he was unaware of Schneider’s comments and apologized. [snip]

Who knows, maybe it is! It is this onerous mentality that pushed Bert and Ernie into buggering each other. Otherwise the Muppets would have been tossed off the air for failing to comply with PC idiocy.

The most explosive moments from Facebook’s hearing, where furious lawmakers tore into ‘frat-boy billionaire’ Mark Zuckerberg

Lawmakers from nine countries tore into Facebook on Tuesday after CEO Mark Zuckerberg failed to attend an international committee hearing in Westminster, London.

Instead, Facebook sent its policy chief, Richard Allan, who bore the brunt of the committee’s fury during the grueling 165-minute hearing while acknowledging that Zuckerberg’s no-show was not a good look.

Not only did lawmakers scold Zuckerberg for his absence, but evidence was brought forward from a cache of Facebook documents the committee seized last week.

Here is a summary of the most explosive moments from the hearing:

Frat-boy billionaires destroying democracy

Canadian MP Charlie Angus kicked things off by asking whose decision it was for Zuckerberg to “blow off” the hearing.

When Allan took responsibility for the decision, Angus upped his rhetoric, painting Facebook as a reckless threat to democracy.

“While we were playing on our phones and apps our democratic institutions, our formal civil conversations, seem to have been upended by frat-boy billionaires from California,” he said.

Canada’s Bob Zimmer, who set up the International Grand Committee with the UK politician Damian Collins, laid into Zuckerberg for not showing up. “To not have your CEO sit in that chair is an offense to all of us,” he said. [snip]

House Committee Examines Whether Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey Lied in His Testimony

On Tuesday, the House Energy and Commerce Committee confirmed that it is reviewing Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey’s testimony before the committee in September after the social media company suspended a Marine combat veteran and explicitly endorsed the political stance of support for transgender activism in its “hateful conduct” policy.

“The committee is aware of Twitter’s actions and is currently reviewing Mr. Dorsey’s testimony,” a committee spokesperson told PJ Media, confirming the news first reported by the Federalist’s Sean Davis.

The spokesman did not explicitly name which Twitter actions inspired the search, or which Dorsey statements most merit scrutiny. Davis suggested the committee was responding to questions about Twitter’s suspension of Jesse Kelly — a Marine combat veteran, writer, and radio show host — and its Orwellian redefinition of opposition to transgender identity as “hateful conduct.”

The Federalist’s Ben Domenech reported on Monday that Dorsey gave false statements about Twitter’s response to death threats against prominent conservatives and about whether or not Twitter policies discriminated against users based on their politics. [snip]

The bias at Twitter is hidden but working quite well.

Finally, the weather is colluding with the Democrats to make you as miserable as possible.

Not to worry! Al Gore is coming to the rescue with much blather and bloviating about Climate Change. His incessant running of the mouth is enough to create Climate modification in the area around his head.
