School sign

From the Left, there is a constant droning chorus, reminiscent of the “Anvil Chorus” clamoring for gun control, more gun control and on and on. Bloomberg, Clinton, Brady, the usual gang of suspects and before that, Obama led the posse down dale and up hill excoriating all who clung to their guns and bibles.
Now we find out the chief mouth spouting all the drivel, Obama worked in the background to insure more carnage could occur.

FBI: The Obama Administration Purged 500,000 Fugitives From the Gun Background Check System

During a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing this week on Capitol Hill, FBI Deputy Director David Bowdich revealed the Obama Justice Department purged more than 500,000 fugitives from the federal gun background check system.

“It’s my understanding that under federal law fugitives cannot legal purchase or possess guns. We heard from local law enforcement that the Justice Department has issued a memo that forced the FBI NICS background check data base to drop more than 500,000 names of fugitives with outstanding arrest warrants because it was uncertain whether those fugitives fled across state lines. Mr. Bowdich can you describe why this determination was made by the Justice Department?” Ranking Member Dianne Feinstein asked.

“That was a decision that was made under the previous administration. It was the Department of Justice’s Legal Counsel that reviewed the law and believed that it needed to be interpreted so that if someone was a fugitive in a state, there had to be indications they had cross state lines. Otherwise they were not known to be a fugitive under the law in the way it was interpreted,” Bowdich responded.

A few things.

1) Arrest warrants don’t disappear when a fugitive crosses a state line and neither does their violent criminal history. If a criminal flees from Texas through New Mexico and into Arizona, he or she is still a fugitive in each state. U.S. Marshals, who work for the Department of Justice, are tasked with crossing states line to capture fugitives on the run.

Deputy U.S. Marshals can be found:
-conducting domestic and international fugitive investigations;
-working closely on fugitive task forces and special cases with local, state, Federal, and international law enforcement agencies
-planning and implementing extraditions and deportations of fugitives;
-conducting financial and technical surveillance on specific fugitive investigations; and
-serving court papers, which is also known as service of process.

2) The federal background check system, NICS, applies in all 50 states.

3) Hundreds of thousands of criminals ineligible to buy firearms became eligible overnight thanks to this decision.

Adding insult to injury, under the Obama Justice Department prosecutions of crimes committed with firearms decreased by 25 percent.

While President Obama decries gun violence and presses for more laws to restrict ownership, his Justice Department has prosecuted 25 percent fewer cases referred by the main law enforcement agency charged with reducing firearms violence across the country, a computer analysis of U.S. prosecution data shows.

Federal prosecutors brought a total of 5,082 gun violation cases in 2013 recommended by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, compared with 6,791 during the last year of George W. Bush’s presidency in 2008, according to data obtained from the Executive Office of U.S. Attorneys.

A very nice deal. This puts persons on the street who can legally buy guns, in the position to traffic them. Then the political clowns like Bloomberg scream about strawman purchases, gun running by NRA members and other slanderous tirades against lawful gun owners.

Finally the loons on the Left get into the act with school walkouts, screeching idiots ranting about every gun is an assault rifle including the symbol on the Gun Free Zone sign.

The Feminazis tell women don’t get a gun; get an order of protection from the courts and a cell phone to call 9-1-1. That court order better be made of Kevlar and the call to 9-1-1 should be made from the police station.

Otherwise YOU are dead.

Deaths by the numbers

Given the results, we should ban anyone under the age of 21 from owning a Smartphone if they live on their own and raise that age to 26 if they live at home in Mom’s basement.

One needs to look at a host of inanimate objects capable of causing death by their mere existence. From the chart, we should probably start at the top.Remove the offending item that causes a death or remove the individual offending the baseline. Simply ban the offending item or person: Alcohol, tobacco, fat people, drug abusers and drunks. Others remove themselves such as medical errors and accidents.

This is the perfect extension of gun control when it is applied to any occurrence found in normal life. Having a problem with it?

Here’s why Russia is delivering loads of natural gas to Massachusetts

Massachusetts anti-fossil fuel policies is one of the primary reasons why the state has relied on natural gas imports from a Russian oil company the Department of State sanctioned during the Obama-era.

Officials in Massachusetts and neighboring New Hampshire blocked financing in 2016 for the $3 billion Access Northeast Pipeline, which would have helped the state weather an energy crunch this winter. The state’s decision to rely principally on green energy hiked gas prices and forced it turn to Russian oil imports.

Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey concluded in 2016 that “no new pipelines are needed” and that we “can maintain electric reliability through 2030 even without additional new natural gas pipelines.” Healey also joined New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman’s investigation into ExxonMobil’s alleged willingness to hide internal documents about climate change.

Environmentalist groups like and Greenpeace are organizing online campaigns to oppose every new coal, oil, and natural-gas project in the country. Greenpeace, for one, has etched out the position that the only good fossil fuels are the ones that are left in the ground. The Sierra Club, meanwhile, claims the U.S. is ready for 100 percent green energy.

New England’s energy grid strained to keep up with skyrocketing energy demand in December and January when arctic temperatures hammered the region. Boston received a shipment of natural gas from an export terminal owned by Novatek — one of the Russian energy giants sanctioned in 2014. Russian oil and gas shipments, however, aren’t covered by U.S. sanctions.

Massachusetts’ lack of pipeline infrastructure forced the state to rely on coal production during the cold snap, which caused energy prices to pitch upward. President Donald Trump appointed a top regulator in 2017 who suggested in January that the electric grid could have operated without coal so long as customers were willing to pay higher energy prices.

“We wouldn’t have seen any widespread outages absent coal,” Kevin McIntyre, chairman of the Federal Energy Regulatory Agency, told senators during a Jan. 24 meeting assessing how the grid responded to a recent spate of snowstorms. Coal production did help reduce energy prices.  [snip]

Coal accounted for more than 40 percent of the electricity makeup delivered this winter on the PJM Interconnection, the regional transmission organization responsible for delivering energy to more than 50 million people, said the group’s president and CEO, Andrew Ott.

“We could not have served customers without the coal-fired resources; that’s the reality,” he said.

PJM burned so much coal, in part, because the price of natural gas skyrocketed during the cold snap, Ott said. Winter weather pounded Massachusetts and New York again in late February, dropping several inches of rain in the state. The cold snap will likely continue for the time being as spring nears. [snip]
